Superman Returns Game!

Man, I just watched this trailer for it and now I am officially psyched. Don't judge it immediately because it looks very cartoony in the beginning scene for some reason. Leave your critisism for after he starts fighting the super-geese, or evil pteradactyls (give me credit for trying to spell that?), or crazy seagulls - whatever you wanna call them.
The superspeed flying looks incredible.

When this game comes out, I'm gonna be all over it. *evil chuckle*

Old People

Well, I'm not completely sure why I went to school today. I basically sat and did nothing for both periods, besides try to find things to talk about and listening to my music.

First period, we had a sub for French that (of course) knew nothing whatsoever about French. So our only assignment for the day was something that I had already completed. So I suffered through that class, only to realize that next period, SSE, was gonna be just as bad. The only things I really could do were things that required having access to a computer, and the library was full (I think.) I didn't particularly feel like going to CAV center.

So I started playing some Egyptian Rats' Crew with a friend guy. We tried to hide it behind a backpack and notebook on the table, but eventually the teacher got cued in. I'm not sure how. I guess it could have had something to do with the *SLAP* *SLAP* "OHHH...YOU GOT MY FREAKING JACK!!! GAH!!!" But yeah, eventually we got caught and yelled at. I was kind of in a giggly mood, so I just giggled at the teacher, and she glared at me. To which I just started laughing. I just couldn't help it...

So we started talking. Eventually, somehow, our conversation drifted to old people. The chick next to me apparently works at an Old Folks' Home. *shudder* Now, don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against old people, but it's a little uncomfortable to be around someone whose only conversational skills are the ability to say "Look at you, son - You're just gettin' to be so big!! You should be playin' football!!" and "I remember when you were just a little rascal!" And all of this with the big smile and vibrating double-chin.

Anyways, the chick next to me starts talking about how commonly they die, when she was asked for some reason. "They die in waves..." she said, and I barely choked down a laugh. "Like, every several months, like 5 of them will die. We just lost 10 last week." That was just too much. A chuckle escaped, and then I just started laughing hysterically. I felt so mean, but I just couldn't help it! They were turning to me like "What's your deal?" and I just keep laughing like a drunk Italian.

Am I a horrible person? :S

My Book, "Sent"

I just want to make this announcement real quick that I have the first chapter completed and it is in my forum: Just Chat/My Book, "Sent."

It is a fantasy thriller (if that's the right term) - basically somewhat like Lord of the Rings. So, with the risk of sounding too bold, it should be pretty interesting to read. I'm dying for feedback and plot ideas as I've had a bit of a block recently. So please read it if you have the time and comment if you have anything to say!!

Forum Complete!

Alright, I finished enough that I went ahead and opened it. If you're unfamiliar with forums, I will soon have some basic instructions for navigation. But it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

My art portfolio and my new book that I'm writing (called "Sent") are pinned topics in the Just Chat section. More content will be coming soon, and I may also collaberate with Matt to have a joint forum for both blogs. All in due time.

A Violent Day

(The following is an interpretation of actual events that occured on 9.27.06)

Okay, I was walking home from school today, and suddenly out of nowhere, they came....a flock of wild mosquito-eaters. It was just horrifying. They were feasting viciously on the grass next to me when they noticed my arrival.

One came straight at my face head-on. I could see the look in its eyes. It clearly wanted to kill me.

But being the incredible acrobat I am, I quickly dodged to the left and punched it in the face. That just knocked it out stone-cold. So I ran through the valley of death really fast, dodging creepy mosquito-eaters and made it out in one piece.

My near-death experience has really made me value life in a more profound way. Thank you.

Cake...

Just curious for some reason:
What is your favorite kind of cake?

My answer is kind of long. I really like several kinds of cake: lemon cake, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, spice cake, and zuchini cake. I know it's kind of weird that I don't have chocolate cake in there somewhere, but I only like that stuff half of the time I eat it. Sorry.

Who are they working for?

Sometimes while watching the evening news, I'm completely amazed at how basic information can be bent and twisted into something entirely different. The Press seems to have a way of keeping all of the same subjects in a story without including the rest of the material. Politics is only the tip of the iceberg.

It is difficult to understand why the people that provide most our great nation with its news are the same people that accuse and harass police officers, while simultaneously defending the rights of extremists as they burn our flag and flood busy streets.

I was always very skeptical when I heard a story involving "police brutality," "extensive force," etc., reason being police are often punished for discharging their firearm even when they clearly had reason to feel threatened. If you see a drug-dealer's hand moving rapidly towards a bulging pocket, you don't have time to think or wait until you know for sure. You just pull the trigger, or it might be your life on the ground instead.

Maybe the problem is that reporters see law enforcement officers as being equal with criminals. If that's true, it's laughable. Do you not see a difference between people that devote their careers to the protection of the standards by which our nation lives as well as its people, in contrast to people who devote their lives to personal gain without a thought of the people around them?

Mais en tout ça, any small amount of trust I had left in these twisted people vanished when I read an article on a Christian officer, a former neighbor of mine. He had already been given disgusting treatment by his superiors, quite obviously for his beliefs, which included false accusations, an investigation, and extended time where he was not allowed to work. But now, he cannot testify against criminals that he helped put behind bars. Ladies and gentlemen, this is far beyond abnormal.

Perhaps this is related to the new media that he has been innappropriately dealing with females that he interacts with on the job (as in whoever he pulls over for any given reason.) Not only do I know him as an outspoken Christian, but it is common sense that any person who had just been investigated unlawfully wouldn't likely find ways to incriminate himself so easily thereafter.

People, this isn't just about morality, but simple intelligence. So what do you think?
